Satan's Arrow

As we walked through the valley of the shadow of death
Saw the most badass performance that we've ever seen yet
A lil’ ol’ man with a stage and a curtain blood red
Brandishing marionettes of the recently dead
He called out to us as we were standing in line
While we waited to be judged unto the end of time
Why don't you boys come over here and sit down for a spell
Might as well take in my show before you're banished to hell - Sit down
The lil’ ol’ man told us a story with his marionettes
About the devil's secret vault containing his magical chest
In the chest lay an arrow it's the one and only thing
Used to slay the Devil so throw your hat in the ring
Descending into hell we concocted a plan
Break into Satan's vault then run as fast as we can
Dead fingers clutched tightly to the magical chest
As we whisk it off be unlocked to use on our quest
Hunting down the devil through the bowels of hell
Snuck right up behind ‘im with the arrow impaled
But the Devil didn't die he just laughed at his own ruse
His power had increased tenfold pure evil infused
The lil’ ol’ man with the stage and the curtain blood red
Was actually beelzebub overlord of the dead
His power’s grown beyond that which hell can even hold
We brought about the apocalypse foretold
As they walked through the valley of the shadow of death
They saw the most badass performance that they've ever seen yet
A lil’ ol’ man with a stage and a curtain blood red
Brandishing marionettes of the recently dead
He called out to them as they were standing in line
While they waited to be judged unto the end of time
Why don't you folks come over here and sit down for a spell
Might as well take in my show before you're banished to hell - Sit down

Alligator Stomp

|

Walking down the ramp in the dead of night
As the fire grew dim a flock of birds took flight
What do we hear rustling in the swamp pits
Alligator alligator gator stomp chomp
There was tattered rotted clothing mismatched shoes
An empty camp of people who had nothin’ to lose
Golden Isles such a sad misnomer
Alligator alligator gator stomp chomp
Gravitational forces show their strength
The dilapidated ramp now stands at half its length
But there’s something more disturbing that I’d almost forgotten
Alligator alligator gator stomp chomp
Brackish water seeps into our bones
Reaching desperately for help but we’re all alone
Or did you happen to forget that we’re in a swamp pit
Alligator alligator gator stomp chomp

Opossum Holler
02:36
|
|||
Windin’ down the back roads in the ol' jalopy
Hunger set in many days spent on the road
Screamin' 'round a corner sent the gravel justa flyin'
There the opossum stood in the middle of the road
Singin' oom bah that's some mighty fine eatin'
Oom bah justa standin' in the road
Dinner‘s never been so easy
Mash the pedal down on Opossum Holler Road
The opossum saw us comin' a streak across the gravel
Launched himself right up into a tall persimmon tree
Decided he was hungry began to eat persimmons
Persimmon flavored opossum sounded mighty good to me
Singin' oom bah that's some mighty fine eatin'
Oom bah justa hangin' from a tree
Dinner’s never been so easy
Persimmon flavored opossum justa lookin' down at me
A few shakes later he tumbled right down into
A pot of boiling water we had waiting on the ground
Stuffed our guts with the manna from the heavens
Which turned out to be tender as a mother's love
Singin' oom bah that's some mighty fine eatin'
Oom bah justa hangin' standin’ in the road
Dinner’s never been so easy
Persimmon flavored opossum tasted mighty good to me

There Came a Clatterin'
03:21

Rollin’ through Angola like a holy roller man that dig‘s outa site
I’m in this for the crazy pretty honey baby
And the moon’s shining full tonight
Just waiting for the exodus waiting for the rest of us
These cats have all got to smile
Clouds rolling in to shade the shady den
the crowd’s gonna gnash and pile
We’re just animals (just animals)
Drunken handfuls (drunken handfuls)
We’ll white wash these walls we’ll paint them red
We’ll rendezvous (rendezvous) like clowns at carnival
And pray we will survive the rest of this
Oh, witches laughing gilded streets
New Orleans you sharpen your teeth
Moving east to Savannah avoiding Alabama
lay waste to the road in our path
From the swamp to the sea can’t wait to leave
but you know we’ll be coming on back
We’ll burn down your cities break down your levees
folks gonna rue the day
We lay shade on your city jail bound and ready
To watch these streets burn away
We’re just animals (just animals)
Drunken handfuls (drunken handfuls)
We’ll white wash these walls we’ll paint them red
We’ll rendezvous (rendezvous) like clowns at carnival
And pray we will survive the rest of this
Oh, witches laughing gilded streets
New Orleans you sharpen your teeth

Lil' Whiskey
02:28

Pedal down on 95 through the sunny ocean air
Destination southern Georgia lots of music to play there
But, we hadn't made it out of Florida when a stone dropped my ass
Writhing on the hot black asphalt waiting for the pain to pass
And I said whoa oh - whoa oh - whoa oh
All we need is a little whiskey
Whoa oh - whoa oh - whoa oh
All we need is a little whiskey
Movin’ on to Southern Georgia via the 303
Just lookin’ for a place to rest our weary heads and have some tea
Then we came upon a side road which turned out to be a ramp
Which then dove right down in the murky water right next to our camp
And I said whoa oh - whoa oh - whoa oh
All we need is a little whiskey
Whoa oh - whoa oh - whoa oh
All we need is a little whiskey
The sun was getting lower like our water food and gas
So we stopped into a place to top off, piss and grab some snacks
But unbeknownst to us their faucet poured out Satan swill
Which had been piped straight up from the bowels of hell a tiny drop could kill
And I said whoa oh - whoa oh - whoa oh
All we need is a little whiskey
Whoa oh - whoa oh - whoa oh
All we need is a little whiskey

They came here to infect you
One false move and they're sure to suspect you
Tip toe all around their subject
But twenty minutes later they're still thinking of it
They want you to take them up on their thirst to devour
The souls of the shattered and innocent
With their insatiable lust for corruption and power
Drop the mortar flame the fuse
Then run like hell they're after you
But you've got masks and pyrotechnics
To confuse the boys in blue one more time
They want you to take them up on their thirst to devour
The souls of the shattered and innocent
With their insatiable lust for corruption and power
