about

A true story about a slight deviation we took from our planned 2016 Spring tour route. This 'slight deviation' landed us upon the precipice of a dark, deserted nomad camp in a southern Georgia swamp... for the night.

lyrics

Walking down the ramp in the dead of night
As the fire grew dim a flock of birds took flight
What do we hear rustling in the swamp pits
Alligator alligator gator stomp chomp

There was tattered rotted clothing mismatched shoes
An empty camp of people who had nothin’ to lose
Golden Isles such a sad misnomer
Alligator alligator gator stomp chomp

Gravitational forces show their strength
The dilapidated ramp now stands at half its length
But there’s something more disturbing that I’d almost forgotten
Alligator alligator gator stomp chomp

Brackish water seeps into our bones
Reaching desperately for help but we’re all alone
Or did you happen to forget that we’re in a swamp pit
Alligator alligator gator stomp chomp
